On Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, the Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala, organized a social activity entitled Orphanage Visit at Rumah Amal Qolbun Salim (Futuhal Arifin Foundation). The event, held from 08:30 to 11:30 WIB, was attended by 26 participants, Nurdiah Ritonga, S.Pd.I, and the children of the orphanage.

This activity was part of HIMATIKA’s work program aimed at fostering social awareness, building harmonious relationships with the community, and strengthening the positive image of the association. It also served as an opportunity to share love and joy with orphanage children who are in need of care and attention.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by welcoming remarks from the Committee Chair, the Head of HIMATIKA, and the Head of the Orphanage. Afterwards, certificates and basic food assistance were presented to the orphanage. A warm and cheerful atmosphere emerged during the educational games session, where the children actively and enthusiastically participated. The activity concluded with a prayer, the distribution of gifts, and a group photo session as a memorable keepsake.

Through this visit, HIMATIKA demonstrated genuine care for the surrounding community. The members of the association learned to develop social sensitivity, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and understand the importance of sharing. Meanwhile, the orphanage children received entertainment, renewed spirit, and joyful attention.

This visit was not only a form of student service to the community but also reinforced the values of empathy and inclusivity. HIMATIKA hopes that similar activities can continue to be carried out sustainably in order to foster a more caring and harmonious social environment.
