On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, HIMATIKA USK successfully held a seminar titled “How to Get a Full Scholarship in the Czech Republic.”
The event featured Mr. Juanda Kelana Putra, M.Sc., an alumnus of the Mathematics Education Program at FKIP USK, who is currently pursuing his Doctoral studies at Masaryk University, Czech Republic. During the seminar, he shared detailed information about scholarship opportunities in the Czech Republic, particularly at Masaryk University — the second-largest university in the country.

The Czech Republic, located in Central Europe and often referred to as the “Land of a Thousand Castles,” is well known for its strategic location and high-quality education system, making it an excellent choice for those seeking to continue their studies abroad.
In his presentation, Mr. Kelana shared his personal experiences studying at Masaryk University. He received a scholarship from the South Moravian Centre for International Mobility (JCMM) in his first year. JCMM is a non-profit organization based in South Moravia that provides educational support and assistance to talented students and researchers from outside the European Union to pursue their studies in the Czech Republic.
In the following years, he was awarded a Masaryk University scholarship, which covered living expenses, Czech language and cultural training, as well as a stipend and salary for PhD students.
