On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) Board for the 2025/2026 term was held at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala. The event was attended by the Vice Dean III of FMIPA, the Secretary of the Department of Mathematics, as well as lecturers and students from the Department of Mathematics.
The event began with a report from the Chair of the Inauguration Committee, followed by a speech from Raiyan Fitrah, the previous HIMATIKA Chair. In his remarks, the Vice Dean III of FMIPA expressed hope that HIMATIKA would continue to play an active role in supporting academic development and student activities within the faculty.
The highlight of the event was marked by the reading of the official decree (SK), the oath-taking ceremony, and the signing of the handover document between the outgoing and incoming board members. The newly elected Chair of HIMATIKA for the 2025/2026 term, Aulia Khairul Fata, delivered a brief speech outlining the organization’s vision and work plan for the upcoming year.
The inauguration ceremony was not merely a formal event, but also served as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between students and lecturers and to foster solidarity among mathematics students. With the new board officially inaugurated, it is expected that HIMATIKA will continue to be active in organizing various activities that benefit mathematics students, both academically and non-academically.
