On Thursday, May 12, 2023, the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala, and the Aceh Village Community Empowerment Agency (DPMG) signed an Implementation Arrangement (IA) agreement. The signing ceremony took place at the FMIPA building, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam, Banda Aceh, and was officiated by Dr. Ir. Zulkifli, M.Si, Head of DPMG Aceh, and Nurmaulidar, S.Si., M.Sc., Head of the Department of Mathematics.
The agreement outlines the implementation of the Village Development Program under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) framework. The main goal of this collaboration is to assist villages across Aceh in inputting their data into the Sistem Informasi Gampong (SIGAP) platform. SIGAP is a web-based system managed by the Aceh Government that consolidates village-level data, including demographic information, planning documents, and budget management.
As part of this collaboration, students from the Department of Mathematics will assist local village officials in data entry and the use of the SIGAP application. This initiative, which represents the realization of the MBKM Village Development Program, will run for a duration of six months.
Through this IA signing, it is hoped that a sustainable partnership will continue between local government institutions and higher education—particularly between DPMG Aceh and Universitas Syiah Kuala—to strengthen regional capacity development and to promote the impactful implementation of the MBKM program.
