The Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala, held the Inauguration of HIMATIKA Management for the 2026/2027 period on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Theater Room, Building D, FMIPA USK. This event marked an important moment in the transition of leadership and the establishment of the organization’s direction for the upcoming term.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Department of Mathematics, including Dr. Dra. Intan Syahrini, M.Si. as Head of the Department, Vera Halfiani, S.Si., M.Mat. as Secretary of the Department, and Muhammad Rizqi Musa, M.Si. as Coordinator of Student Affairs. Their presence reflected strong support for the continuity and development of student organizations within the Department of Mathematics.
The main agenda of the event was the official inauguration of the HIMATIKA Chairperson for the 2026/2027 period, symbolizing the beginning of new leadership within the organization. This inauguration was not merely ceremonial but also served as a formal mandate for the newly appointed board to carry out their responsibilities with commitment and dedication.
In their remarks, the Department leadership expressed their expectations that the new HIMATIKA management would introduce innovative work programs, strengthen student solidarity, and actively contribute to both academic and non-academic activities within the campus environment.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the event continued with the HIMATIKA Work Meeting (Rapat Kerja), which aimed to formulate the organization’s work programs for the upcoming term. During this session, the board discussed various planned activities, covering academic initiatives, organizational development, and student interest and talent development.
This work meeting served as a strategic first step in determining the organization’s direction, as well as aligning the vision and mission of all board members in carrying out their duties.
With the successful implementation of both the inauguration and the work meeting, it is expected that HIMATIKA for the 2026/2027 period will become a more active, cohesive, and innovative organization. The new management is expected to serve as a platform for student development and to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA, Universitas Syiah Kuala.
It is hoped that the new HIMATIKA management will fulfill their mandate responsibly and lead the organization toward greater achievements in the future.
