A total of 12,648 participants of the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) for the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) 2026 took part in the examination held at 13 test locations at Universitas Syiah Kuala. The UTBK officially began on April 21, 2026, in Banda Aceh and will continue until April 30, 2026.

In this year’s UTBK SNBT implementation, the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA USK, actively contributed by providing laboratory facilities that meet the required standards as examination venues. Three laboratories were utilized: the Mathematical Modeling and Simulation Laboratory, the Mathematics Learning Media Development Laboratory, and the Applied Mathematics Laboratory. These laboratories were optimally prepared to support the smooth execution of the computer-based examination.

The participation of the Department of Mathematics in this activity demonstrates its commitment to supporting a transparent, accountable, and technology-based national selection process. Furthermore, this involvement reflects the readiness of its infrastructure and resources in supporting large-scale academic activities.

For the 2026 new student admissions, Universitas Syiah Kuala has determined the quota proportions for each admission pathway: 30% through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), 35% through the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), and 35% through the Independent Admission Selection (SMMPTN Barat) or independent pathway.

With the implementation of UTBK SNBT, it is expected that the new student selection process will run smoothly and produce high-quality candidates who are ready to contribute to the academic environment, particularly at Universitas Syiah Kuala.
