Attikah Humairah, a 2025 cohort student of the S1 Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), achieved the Favorite Award (Top 10) in the Literacy Content Competition, part of the Aceh Besar Literacy Video Content event organized by the Aceh Besar Library and Archives Office.
The competition was part of an effort to increase reading interest while encouraging the community, particularly young people, to be more creative in delivering literacy messages through digital media. The event took place in Jantho City, Aceh Besar Regency, with a series of activities held from August to September 2026.
The series of activities began with a participant briefing on August 4, 2026. Following the briefing, participants prepared and produced literacy video content, which was submitted on August 15, 2026. The winners were subsequently announced on August 24, 2026, while the prizes and awards for the winners were presented on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Jantho City, Aceh Besar.
Through this competition, participants were given an opportunity to develop their creativity in presenting literacy messages in an engaging and accessible manner. The content produced was also expected to help disseminate information about various library programs and encourage the growth of a reading culture within the community.
Attikah Humairah’s achievement represents one form of participation and contribution by students of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA USK, in community literacy development activities. The achievement also demonstrates that Mathematics students have opportunities to develop various skills and talents beyond academic pursuits through creative and community-oriented activities.
