Banda Aceh, January 25, 2025 – Another proud achievement has been made by students from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in the 2025 ONMIPA University-Level Selection. The competition, held at the Flamboyan Building, Universitas Syiah Kuala, brought together the best students from various study programs competing for the top spots and the opportunity to represent USK at higher levels.
After a series of rigorous selection stages, three Mathematics students successfully won top positions in this competition:

The ONMIPA (National Olympiad of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for University Students) selection is a prestigious competition designed to test students’ ability to solve mathematical problems analytically and systematically. The 2025 university-level selection featured challenging problems covering various branches of mathematics, including algebra, analysis, geometry, and combinatorics. Participants were required to think critically, creatively, and precisely within a limited time frame.
Success at the university level marks only the beginning of a longer journey toward regional and national stages. The winners from this selection will advance to represent Universitas Syiah Kuala in the regional and national ONMIPA competitions. To prepare for the next stage, they will receive intensive coaching and guidance from lecturers and mentors of the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA USK.
Congratulations to all the winners!
May this achievement serve as inspiration for other students and a stepping stone toward greater success at higher levels, bringing pride to Universitas Syiah Kuala.
