The Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala, held the MUBES HIMATIKA 2025–2026 on February 28, 2026. The event was attended by students from the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA USK.

The MUBES serves as the highest forum within the HIMATIKA organization, conducted periodically as a platform for evaluation, strategic decision-making, and determining the policy direction of the organization for the upcoming management period.

The purpose of this MUBES was to discuss and establish several important aspects of HIMATIKA’s organizational governance. These included the adoption of the Rules of Procedure for the MUBES, the discussion and ratification of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), and the formulation of the General Guidelines for Organizational Work (GBHK), which will serve as the working framework for the HIMATIKA management for the 2026–2027 period.

In addition, the event also served as a forum to discuss the accountability report of the HIMATIKA management for the 2025–2026 period as a form of transparency and accountability to the students of the Department of Mathematics regarding the implementation of programs and the use of organizational funds during the management period. The forum also included the election and appointment of the HIMATIKA Chairperson for the 2026–2027 period.

The MUBES began with opening remarks from the Chairperson of the Mathematics Student Association, followed by remarks from the Head of the Department of Mathematics or their representative. The opening session concluded with a prayer and a group photo session.

Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with Plenary Session I, which discussed the agenda of the meeting, the ratification of the rules of procedure, and the appointment of the session leaders. Plenary Session II was then conducted to discuss the organization’s AD/ART, determine the General Guidelines for Organizational Work, and present the accountability report of the HIMATIKA management for the previous period.

The event proceeded with Plenary Session III, which continued the discussion of the remaining agenda items before entering the break and prayer session. Afterward, the candidates for HIMATIKA Chairperson delivered their campaigns and presented their visions and missions, followed by the process of selecting and officially determining the elected Chairperson of HIMATIKA for the 2026–2027 period.

The MUBES HIMATIKA 2025–2026, organized by the Mathematics Student Association under the Department of Public Relations (HUMAS), was successfully conducted in a smooth and orderly manner. During the forum, students of the Department of Mathematics FMIPA USK discussed and agreed upon various strategic agendas that will serve as the foundation for the organization’s future direction.

Several important decisions were produced during this event, including the adoption of the Rules of Procedure for the Assembly, the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), and the General Guidelines for Organizational Work (GBHK) for the HIMATIKA management for the 2026–2027 period. In addition, the accountability report of the 2025–2026 management was presented and discussed collectively as a form of organizational accountability to all students.

On the same occasion, the event also successfully carried out the election and appointment of the Chairperson of the Mathematics Student Association for the 2026–2027 period, which resulted in the selection of Muhammad Ravi as the new chairperson. The elected chairperson is expected to lead HIMATIKA toward becoming a more active and progressive organization and to contribute positively to the development of students in the Department of Mathematics, FMIPA, Universitas Syiah Kuala.

Through this MUBES, it is hoped that stronger relationships will be fostered among students, student organizations, and lecturers within the Department of Mathematics FMIPA USK, while also strengthening the role of HIMATIKA as a platform for developing academic potential, leadership, and organizational skills among mathematics students.
