The Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala, through its Religious Affairs Department, successfully organized the Ramadhan Mathematics Forum on March 11, 2026. The event, held at the park of Building C, FMIPA USK from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (WIB), was attended enthusiastically by 77 Mathematics students.

Adopting the concept of a communal iftar (breaking of the fast) and a religious lecture, the event featured Dr. Said Munzir, S.Si., M.Eng.Sc. as the keynote speaker, who delivered a spiritual talk and religious motivation to the participants. The event was also attended by Muhammad Rizqi Musa, M.Si., Coordinator of Student Affairs of the Mathematics Department, along with several lecturers from the department. This activity served as an important moment to strengthen spiritual values while fostering closer relationships among students within the Mathematics Department.

The Ramadhan Mathematics Forum aimed to provide a space for HIMATIKA members to gather, strengthen bonds, and cultivate a spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan. In addition, the event served as a reflective platform to understand the meaning of fasting as a process of learning patience, self-control, and gratitude.
Through this activity, students not only strengthened their social connections but also reinforced values of togetherness, care, and mutual cooperation in line with Islamic teachings.
The event began with participant registration, followed by an opening session led by the master of ceremonies and a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. The program continued with welcoming remarks from the Coordinator of Student Affairs, the Head of HIMATIKA, and the Chair of the Organizing Committee.

The main session featured a religious lecture delivered by Dr. Said Munzir, S.Si., M.Eng.Sc., which was conducted in a solemn and interactive manner, providing both insight and spiritual motivation for the participants. The event then continued with a closing prayer, a group photo session, and concluded with the breaking of the fast together.
The sense of togetherness was further strengthened as participants performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation, followed by a communal meal in a warm and familial atmosphere.
The Ramadhan Mathematics Forum was successfully carried out and received positive responses from all participants. The high level of enthusiasm demonstrated that the event effectively created a sense of unity and strengthened bonds among HIMATIKA members.
Moreover, the activity had a positive impact in fostering a spirit of sharing, enhancing Islamic values, and strengthening brotherhood among students.
Through this event, it is hoped that the spirit of togetherness, solidarity, and mutual care among Mathematics students of FMIPA USK will continue to grow stronger—not only during Ramadan but also in future organizational activities.
