Vera Halfiani, born in Banda Aceh, is a lecturer at Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). She became a lecturer at Universitas Syiah Kuala in 2019. She obtained her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in applied mathematics at Universitas Syiah Kuala in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Since 2016, she has actively involved in research activity as a member of Dynamic Application and Optimization Research Group (DAORG). Her research interest includes rogue wave generation and simulation (wave dynamics), optimal control, epidemic modeling, mathematical optimization, and numerical analysis. Beside teaching and conducting researches at the university, she also keenly delivers a training as an instructor of mathematics olympiad course for high school students in Banda Aceh.
